First off, the high def transfer is excellent, the picture really is very sharp indeed. However, that may not be the blessing you'd think. Sure, it makes the film look fantastic. However, it does make it harder to suspend your disbelief, in that it suddenly feels more like a hollywood film, and less like something shot on a camcorder by chance.
